Nikon Use Without Head
Best Scientific Couplers have recently been working on some new innovation for the Coupler world specifically for the Nikon Biological and material range of microscopes.
We are excited to say we can now offer a direct interface to the main body of these microscope without the Binocular or Trinocular head being in place. The benefit of this is a much shorter optical system so when you’re short on space your camera system will no longer be an issue.
This system is preferential over the Bino/Trino option as the image from the objective lens of choice from the microscope would then go straight to your CCD or SLR. The theorist would say each prism within the Bino/Trino takes away a small amount of resolution. This direct method we suggest can save you money and potentially give you a better image in confined spaces.
This interface has no glass, is black anodised throughout to avoid reflection, it does have the useful 38mm ISO and It is only 85mm in height. Existing Couplers within our range including the Direct and Large Format adapters all work extremely well with this system. You can even achieve parfocality whilst viewing you image via LCD screen or TV monitor. Obviously, you don’t have eyepieces to slow you down!
